North East Safety Boats was established in 2010, after Gareth Southcott identified a gap in the market for a professional company which could utilise robust vessels within the construction and inspection related industries.
Starting with a single vessel it soon became apparent that the demand was there but there needed to be flexibility, contingencies and variety for the client, the Directors at NESB over the years have reinvested into the company increasing the vessel fleet size, instigating a pontoon hire fleet whilst also bringing about a marine supplies section for clients.
Focussing on marine support NESB continue to support the Marine Civil Engineering, Offshore Renewables, Nuclear Energy, Oil & Gas, Survey and Diving sectors.
At the forefront of marine projects since 2010 we have been involved in nearly all the North Easts largest marine projects to date form the Gravity Based Foundation project on the River Tyne with BAM Nuttall and EDF to supporting MC Construction during overside works to Offshore Windfarm Jack Up Vessels as well as bespoke projects including the towage of the HM Endeavour from Stockton to Whitby.
