NESB had the privilege to assist with the 190th Durham Regatta Event at the River Wear which is a rowing racing event attended by various clubs, colleges and universities around the UK. The weekend was a fantastic event which lasted two days in the sunny weather with lots of family friendly things do do such as carnival rides, food trucks and a bar where you can sit and watch the event from the river bank or livestream through the joys of modern technology. Well done to our experienced team who reacted quickly to several rescue situations and instances which there was no serious injury’s. The job was also a bit awkward because the river is shallow in areas so we had to plan and chose a boat/engine suitable for the job.
